This presentation highlights the effects of Denial of Service penetration (malignant or otherwise) of a NonStop system using standard TCP/IP tools such as echo, finger and port scans. It focuses on the ability of a potential intruder (without knowledge of the underlying HP NonStop technology) to discover and act upon weaknesses in the TCP/IP configuration which could lead to a potential Denial of Service to legitimate customers and users.
